TogglePrayer for Church Growth with Scriptures
Heavenly Father,
I come before You today with a heart full of gratitude and reverence. You are the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. You are the Builder of Your Church, and Your Word declares that the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18). Lord, I lift up my church before You, asking for Your divine hand to rest upon it.
Father, Your Word says in Psalm 127:1, “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” We acknowledge that without You, our efforts are meaningless. We ask that You build our church, establish it on the solid rock of Jesus Christ, and cause it to flourish for Your glory.
Lord, we pray for spiritual growth within our congregation. Help us to be deeply rooted in Your Word, growing in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18). May we hunger and thirst for righteousness, seeking first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all other things will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33).
Father, we ask for an outpouring of Your Holy Spirit upon our church. Just as You empowered the early church in Acts 2, let there be a fresh anointing upon our leaders, our members, and all who serve in Your house. Fill us with boldness to proclaim the Gospel, that many may come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Lord, we pray for unity in our church. Your Word says in Psalm 133:1, “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” Remove every spirit of division, strife, and discord. Let us be of one heart and one mind, working together for the advancement of Your kingdom. May we love one another deeply, as Christ has loved us (John 13:34-35).
Father, we pray for numerical growth in our church. Your Word says in Acts 2:47 that You added to the church daily those who were being saved. Lord, we ask that You bring souls into our church—men, women, and children who are hungry for You. Let our church be a beacon of light in our community, drawing the lost to salvation.
Lord, we pray for our church leadership—our pastors, elders, and ministry leaders. Grant them wisdom, strength, and discernment as they shepherd Your flock. Let them lead with integrity and humility, always seeking Your guidance (James 1:5). Protect them from every attack of the enemy and refresh them in their labor.
Father, we pray for financial provision for our church. Your Word says in Philippians 4:19, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” Bless the work of our hands, provide for every ministry, and open doors of financial breakthrough so that we may continue to spread the Gospel and serve our community.
Lord, we pray for revival in our church. Stir up a passion for prayer, worship, and evangelism. Let there be a mighty move of Your Spirit, transforming lives and igniting a fire that cannot be quenched. Let signs, wonders, and miracles follow the preaching of Your Word, confirming Your power in our midst (Mark 16:20).
Father, we commit every department, every ministry, and every member into Your hands. May we be faithful stewards of the gifts and callings You have given us. Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, we shall reap if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
Lord, we declare that our church will be a house of prayer, a place of healing, and a refuge for the broken. We declare that the lost will be saved, the sick will be healed, and the oppressed will be set free. We declare that our church will impact our city, our nation, and the world for Your glory.
Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your promises, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in us (Philippians 1:6). May all that we do bring honor and glory to Your holy name.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray,
Amen.
