Prayer for Children By Joshua Selman

Heavenly Father, the Father of all creation, the giver of life, and the sustainer of all that exists, I come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up every child before Your holy throne. Lord, You are the Alpha and the Omega, the One who knew these children even before they were formed in their mothers’ wombs. You have ordained their days and set a path for their destiny. Today, I stand as an intercessor, calling upon Your mercy, grace, and power to rest upon their lives.

Lord, I thank You for the gift of children, for Your Word says in Psalm 127:3 that children are a heritage from the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is a reward. I acknowledge that every child is a blessing, a divine assignment, and a carrier of purpose. Father, I ask that You stretch forth Your mighty hand and cover them under the shadow of Your wings. Let Your presence go with them all the days of their lives.

1. Protection and Preservation
Father, I declare that no weapon formed against these children shall prosper. I plead the blood of Jesus over their lives, their minds, their bodies, and their spirits. I decree that they are hidden in Christ, and no evil shall befall them. Lord, in a world filled with danger, violence, and wickedness, I ask that You assign Your angels to watch over them. Let them be surrounded by divine protection wherever they go.

I come against every plan of the enemy to steal, kill, or destroy their destinies. I frustrate every satanic agenda, every demonic manipulation, and every evil orchestration against their lives. I declare that they will not be victims of kidnappings, accidents, sicknesses, or premature death. Father, let Your fire surround them as a wall of protection in their schools, homes, and communities.

2. Wisdom, Knowledge, and Understanding
Father, I ask that You fill these children with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Let them excel in their academics, in their reasoning, and in their ability to discern right from wrong. Let them be ten times better than their peers, as You did for Daniel and the Hebrew boys. Give them a sound mind, free from confusion, fear, and anxiety.

Lord, I rebuke every spirit of ignorance, laziness, and distraction that seeks to hinder their growth. Let them be diligent, focused, and disciplined in their studies and in their pursuit of knowledge. May they be leaders, inventors, and problem-solvers in their generation.

3. Spiritual Growth and Relationship with God
Father, I pray that these children will know You from a young age. Let them grow in the fear of the Lord, for Your Word says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. May they develop a personal relationship with You, walking in Your ways and obeying Your commandments.

Lord, I ask that You baptize them with the Holy Spirit. Let them be filled with Your power, walking in righteousness, holiness, and truth. May they love Your Word, meditate on it day and night, and find delight in Your presence. I pray that they will not be enticed by the pleasures of this world, but that they will set their hearts on things above.

4. Destiny and Purpose Fulfillment
Father, I declare that these children will fulfill their divine destinies. Every plan and purpose You have for them shall come to pass. They will not be wasted, they will not be diverted, and they will not be cut short before their time. Lord, let them walk in the path of righteousness and align with Your will for their lives.

I come against every spirit of delay, stagnation, and failure. I decree that they will rise above every limitation and excel in all that they do. Let them be mighty men and women of valor, influencers in their generation, and voices of righteousness in their spheres of influence.

5. Good Health and Strength
Lord, I speak divine health over these children. Sickness and disease shall not have dominion over them. I rebuke every infirmity, genetic disorder, and affliction that seeks to attack their bodies. Let their immune systems be strong, their bones be firm, and their bodies be full of vitality.

I declare that they will grow in strength and stature, just as Jesus did. They will not be weak, they will not be feeble, and they will not be afflicted by any terminal illness. Father, let Your healing power rest upon them, and let them enjoy divine health all the days of their lives.

6. Godly Character and Discipline
Father, I pray that these children will be known for their godly character. Let them be honest, kind, respectful, and obedient. May they walk in integrity, humility, and love. I rebuke every rebellious spirit, every attitude of disobedience, and every influence that seeks to corrupt their morals.

Surround them with godly friends and mentors who will guide them in the right path. Let them not be influenced by negative peer pressure, but rather, let them be the light that draws others to righteousness. Give them a heart that seeks after You, a heart that loves what is good and hates what is evil.

7. Family and Parental Blessings
Lord, I pray for the parents and guardians of these children. Grant them wisdom, patience, and understanding in raising them. Let them be examples of godliness, teaching their children in the way they should go. Bless their homes with peace, love, and unity.

I pray that parents will not be weary in their responsibilities, but that they will be strengthened to nurture, guide, and support their children. Provide for their needs, O Lord, and let there be no lack in their homes. May these children bring joy and honor to their families, and may they be a source of pride and fulfillment to their parents.

8. Favor and Open Doors
Father, I declare that these children will walk in favor. They will find favor with God and with men. Doors of opportunity will open for them, and they will be positioned for greatness. Let them be highly sought after for their gifts, talents, and wisdom.

I decree that they will not struggle to succeed, but that grace will speak for them. They will be distinguished in their generation, and they will rise to positions of influence and impact. Lord, let Your hand be upon them, guiding them into their divine assignments.

9. Victory Over the Enemy
Lord, I cancel every generational curse, every ancestral bondage, and every negative pattern that seeks to follow these children. They will not suffer from the afflictions of their forefathers. Every demonic covenant, every satanic altar speaking against their lives, I command it to be destroyed by the power of the blood of Jesus.

I declare that these children are free, delivered, and victorious. They will not be held captive by the enemy, but they will walk in the liberty that Christ has purchased for them. No evil pronouncement, no enchantment, and no divination shall stand against them.

10. Gratitude and Thanksgiving
Father, I thank You because You are faithful. I thank You because You hear and answer prayers. I thank You because these children will grow to become mighty vessels in Your hands. I thank You because You will fulfill every promise concerning their lives.

Lord, I give You all the glory, honor, and praise. I seal this prayer with the blood of Jesus, and I declare that it shall come to pass. These children will be for signs and wonders, and their lives will bring glory to Your name.

In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray.
Amen!
