Exodus 1
In Exodus Chapter 1, the narrative begins with the Israelites flourishing in Egypt, multiplying and becoming exceedingly strong. However, a new Pharaoh arises who does not remember Joseph and fears the growing population of the Israelites. To suppress them, he imposes harsh labor and oppression, ultimately decreeing that all newborn Hebrew boys be cast into the Nile, setting the stage for the Israelites’ struggle and eventual deliverance. This chapter highlights the themes of oppression, resilience, and the unfolding plan of God for His people.
